Trapped by Michael Northrop

I can't believe I never blogged about Trapped!  I had had it on my wish list, but I finally bought and started reading it during a big snowstorm we had -- last winter, I guess it was.  I was thinking we would get snowed in, and decided to read a book to match!
Trapped is a YA thrilled about a small group of kids and a teacher who all get trapped in the high school together when they get hit with an apocalypse-style snowstorm.  The school lets everyone go early, but a few kids stay for their own reasons, and a teacher stays with them until their rides come.  Only... their rides never do come, and the snow just keeps on falling.

As I'd hoped -- as that was the kind of mood I was in -- it was a pretty tense, spooky story about getting snowed in.  And considering the big snowstorm we got last weekend -- and the fact that we may be getting another big one this weekend -- it seems like an appropriate time to blog about it!  It's been a while since we've truly gotten snowed in here in Denver...  Next time we do, I might have to reread this book, just for the fun of it!
